PPL(A)/SEP - Private Pilot Licence

Duration

Complete the training between 8-12 weeks, depending on season and weather conditions.

With a Private Pilot Licence you can:

Pre-entry requirements:

  • min 16 years old (at the beginning of the course)

  • EASA Medical Class 2

Theory

The PPL course comprises of about 110 hours of ground training split in 9 different subjects. Classes are done in parallel with flying hours. PPL classes begin every first Monday of each month, so 12 classes yearly.

Flying Time

The PPL course comprises flight exercises to cover a minimum of 45 hours of flying, all of them on Diamond DA-20 Katana. About 30 hours are dual and 15 hours are solo, PIC.

Description

*The aim of the PPL(A) course is to train the student pilot to fly safely and efficiently under Visual Flight Rules. The privileges of the holder of a PPL(A) are to act without remuneration as Pilot In Comand

*An applicant for a PPL(A) shall hold a valid Class 1 or Class 2 EASA Medical License.

*Applicants for the PPL(A) shall be at least 17 years of age;

*The training and examination cover aspects related to non-technical skills in an integrated manner, considering the particular risks associated with the license and the activity. The theoretical knowledge instruction provided by the Authorized Training Organization includes classes at Tuzla Airfield and online meetings.

*ATO must check if all the appropriate elements of the training course of theoretical knowledge instruction have been completed to a satisfactory standard before recommending the applicant for the examination.

*The theoretical knowledge syllabus of the PPL(A) course covers the following learning topics: Air Law, Human Performance , Meteorology, Communication. Principles of Flight, Operational Procedures, Flight Performance and Planning, Aircraft General Knowledge and Navigation.

*The PPL(A) theoretical knowledge course comprises about 110 hours of instruction
